Star Wars the Old Republic is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) that is being produced by Electronic Arts. This game has the highest budget of any games that have been released to date. Its budget peaks well over 200 million dollars. On top of all that until just recently nobody knew when it was going to be released which was bothering a lot of fans. Although them not releasing a release date early on was good, because it let us know that hey, they aren't going to rush out a final product just for the initial boom in sales. Instead they want to develop a good product with a lot of replayability. The release date for this game is set to mid december, which is actually a perfect time to release a game. Not many other games are being released in December which is good for business, but also christmas is right around the corner and this game will be gifted by many thousands of parents.
Personally I think the game looked good, but they might be making it a bit to complicated for the average user. I believe it is slightly over-hyped seeing as it is being developed by EA who has a bad record of rushing out games, and then never supporting there games for more than 6 months after the game has been released. That means that a few bugs will probably get fixed but not all of them.
I'm going to be giving this game a shot, but I'm not depending on it being any amazing.
